When we replace an old computer, one of the questions I usually receive is, “What do you do with the old one?” and the answer to that question depends on what condition the computer is in. If it still works well enough, donation is always an option. For other computers, less robust or just outright unsalvageable, you have two options: trash it or recycle it.

November 15th is America Recycles Day. To celebrate, here is a list of resources you can utilize to recycle almost anything you can think of – including computers.

Staples accepts all desktop computer brands for free recycling.

Best Buy accepts most computers with a few exceptions (see site for details http://www.bestbuy.com/recycling).
