Sound familiar?
Bring us in when…
You want to focus on your business, not the technology.
Every hour you spend managing IT is an hour not spent running the company.
Your systems hinder the business more than they help.
Slow computers, unreliable Wi-Fi and software that fights you.
You need better reliability and security.
Customers, insurers and regulators are asking harder questions.
You know downtime costs you money.
When the network stops, so do payroll, billing and your customers.
You need to be certain your data is backed up.
Tested, protected from ransomware and recoverable, period.
You want your team working from anywhere, securely.
Remote and hybrid work without the security holes.
You want employees doing the jobs they were hired for.
Not wasting time on computer problems.
You believe preventing problems beats paying to fix them.
An ounce of prevention, every month.
You’re growing and need a technology plan.
New people, new locations and what they’ll cost, mapped out ahead of time.
If three or more of these sound like you, a short discovery call is worth your time.
Who we’re built for
You rely on technology every day
Your computers, network and internet are part of how the work gets done, so downtime costs real money.
You run on a line-of-business application
Accounting, ERP, practice management, design or industry software that has to work every day.
You want prevention, not firefighting
Monitoring, maintenance and planning that catch problems before they become emergencies.
You take security seriously
Multi-factor authentication, tested backups and trained staff, because customers and insurers expect it.
You want straight answers
Plain English, costs explained up front and no surprise invoices.
You may already have IT staff
We support businesses with no IT staff, and work alongside in-house IT people when you have them.
Not sure where you fit? That’s exactly what a discovery call is for. Schedule a discovery call
We’re probably not the right fit if…
- You want the cheapest hourly rate, not prevention.
- You only want someone to fix things after they break.
- You’re not willing to adopt basic security, like multi-factor authentication.
We’ll tell you up front
We’d rather be honest on the first call than disappoint you six months in. If we’re not the right fit, we’ll say so, and point you in a better direction when we can.
Industries we know
Every client gets the same core service. For these industries, we go deeper on the software, rules and day-to-day realities.
Accounting and tax
Tax software, WISPs and the FTC Safeguards Rule, built around tax season.
Professional services
Law, engineering and architecture firms, surveyors and consultants.
What we take responsibility for
One local team for all of it.
In our clients’ own words
“One of the biggest differences from what we had before Fairoaks IT, is the fact that we call one person to manage everything IT related. Before Fairoaks IT our staff of about 5 people were experiencing at least 5 hours a week of lost productivity mostly from determining who to call for what issues. Our employees now have one number to call.”
William ShannonShannon Corporation“If you are shopping for a new IT support partner, then focus on results and not on price.”
Rob EnglishOwner, Chemical Solutions“I’d recommend Fairoaks IT to any business owner who’s tired of dealing with IT themselves.”
Dennis O’BrienOwner, Dennis O’Brien Land Surveying“As we grow, Fairoaks IT adapts.”

Questions about working with Fairoaks IT
Straight answers to the 12 questions business owners deciding whether we’re a fit ask us most.
Is Fairoaks IT a fit?
What kinds of businesses does Fairoaks IT work best with?
Small and midsize businesses that rely on their computers, network and internet every day, often running a specialized line-of-business application, and that want prevention instead of firefighting. Our clients come from a broad cross-section of industries across Eastern Massachusetts, Rhode Island and the Charlotte, NC area.
Is my business too small for Fairoaks IT?
Size matters less than how much you depend on technology. If problems with computers, email or the network stop your business when they happen, we can help, and our plans range from monitoring and maintenance with support billed as you use it to fully managed IT. A short discovery call is the fastest way to know.
Do you work with businesses that already have an IT person?
Yes. We work alongside in-house IT people and teams through co-managed IT, and businesses with their own IT staff can also add our help desk or security services on their own. Your IT person stays your front line, with a full team behind them.
What industries does Fairoaks IT work with?
Businesses of all kinds, with deep experience in construction, manufacturing, accounting and tax firms, defense suppliers, professional services, healthcare and churches. Each of those industries has its own page covering the software, rules and day-to-day realities we support.
Deciding to make a change
How do I know it’s time to change IT companies?
Common signs: you’re still chasing your IT company, the same problems keep coming back, nobody can tell you whether backups actually restore, you only hear from them when something breaks, or you can’t get straight answers about costs. If several of those sound familiar, it’s time for a serious conversation, with them or with someone new.
We’ve never had an IT company. Where do we start?
With a conversation, not a contract. Many growing businesses rely on a part-time IT person, a helpful vendor or the most tech-savvy employee until it stops working. We start with a discovery call, then an assessment in plain English, then a written plan with every cost explained up front.
We like our IT person, but we’re worried about security. What are our options?
Keep your IT person and add security behind them. Co-managed security adds a 24/7 security operations center, detection and response tools, testing and expertise alongside your existing IT, without taking over the work they already do well.
How disruptive is switching IT companies?
Less than most people expect, when it’s planned. A good transition documents every system, password and vendor first, then coordinates the handoff from your current provider, with changes scheduled around your busy times. Urgent risks like backups and multi-factor authentication get fixed first, with a named point of contact and weekly check-ins until onboarding is done.
Next steps
What happens on a discovery call?
A straightforward conversation about your business, your technology and what isn’t working. No pitch and no pressure. We’ll answer your questions about us, and if it makes sense for both of us, plan an assessment. If we’re not the right fit, we’ll tell you.
What happens in a free IT assessment?
We review your network, servers, computers, Microsoft 365, backups and security with our proprietary 27-point assessment. It can be done remotely, with or without your current IT company knowing. You get a plain-English summary of what’s working, what’s at risk and what to fix first. No scare tactics, just facts.
How much does working with Fairoaks IT cost?
It depends on how many people and devices you support, your security and compliance needs, and how much is included in the monthly fee versus billed as used. We recommend a plan after an assessment, with monthly support and one-time projects quoted separately and every cost explained up front. Our IT Buyer’s Guide explains typical industry pricing and contract terms.
