Our Security Team brought to my attention last week that many of the cracked passwords they find are actually the company name or the abbreviation of a company name. One of the best things we implemented at Farioaks IT is the password manager and its ability to generate the password. Now I no longer have to try to come up with a creative password. I remember the first time one of the vendors published common passwords and “Beach” was on the list. I was shocked others would have thought of the same. This is a great time to remind your employees and clients about the need to use complex passwords or invest in a password manager at your company.
